Bronny James, 19, gave a not-so-surprising response when asked about his all-time favorite basketball player. After thoughtful contemplation, he smiled and answered, "I'd probably say someone like LeBron James."

Bronny chose to wear No. 6 for the University of Southern California, which was the same number his father wore during his last two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. His father then switched back to No. 23 for the current season. Bronny's response elicited laughter from his teammates, as can be heard in the background of the video shared by USC Basketball on X (formerly Twitter).

The eldest of LeBron's three children is the teenager Bronny. Bronny has a younger brother named Bryce, who is 16, and a younger sister named Zhuri, who is 9. On September 14, LeBron and his wife, Savannah James, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.

One NBA legend fan commented on Bronny’s clip, praising LBJ and Savannah for their exceptional parenting skills.

Despite being one of the most sought-after high school players this year, it is still unclear when Bronny will have his first game. USC's new season begins on November 6 in the Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas, where they will face Kansas State. It remains uncertain whether Bronny will be playing as he is still recovering from the cardiac arrest he experienced in July. The medical evaluation revealed that he has a significant congenital heart defect, for which he had to undergo corrective surgery.

The James family expressed their strong belief in Bronny's swift recovery and comeback to basketball in the near future, as stated in August.

USC basketball coach Andy Enfield, on September 24, informed ESPN that Bronny's progress is promising, although they are unable to provide any medical updates. Enfield mentioned that Bronny is actively attending classes and excelling academically, which fills them with great excitement.

LeBron's son was absent from the team's initial practice on September 23, and the university has yet to give any additional information regarding his status.

However, Bronny did make an appearance at USC's HoopLA event on October 1, where the players engaged with fans. During his entrance, he showcased his dance moves, with USC's Instagram account acknowledging that "@bronny performed the dougie during his introduction at Trojan HoopLA."

LeBron transitioned from playing high school basketball in Akron, Ohio, to achieving the title of NBA Rookie of the Year with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003 at the age of 18. Currently, he holds the prestigious record for the highest NBA career points, surpassing 38,000 points. While eagerly anticipating the rise of another James in the NBA, LeBron is focused on relishing the opportunity to witness his son play basketball at the college level. Reflecting on Bronny's commitment to USC in May, LeBron declared it as "one of the most memorable days of my life."

"Firstly, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Bronny for the remarkable decision he has made. I am incredibly proud of him, and our entire family shares in this pride," LeBron expressed during a Spectrum SportsNet interview. "On a personal note, this holds even more significance for me as it marks the first time a member outside of my family has pursued higher education. As many know, I did not have the opportunity to attend college myself."
