LeBron James is not only an exceptional NBA player but also a committed father off the court. Reflecting on his own upbringing, the Los Angeles Lakers player shared with Fatherly in October 2018 that he had resented his father for most of his life. This experience has profoundly influenced his approach to raising his three children with his wife Savannah James: LeBron Jr. (also known as Bronny), Bryce, and Zhuri.
He expressed, "He is the reason I have become the father I am today. I always aimed to set a positive example and be a father figure in their lives, so they would not feel any resentment."
After nearly two decades in his NBA career, LeBron divulged his aspiration to share the basketball court with his children someday. Speaking to The Athletic in February 2022, the athlete stated, "My final year in the NBA will be played alongside my son. Wherever Bronny is, that is where I will be. I am willing to do whatever it takes to have the opportunity to play with my son for one year. It's not about the money at that stage."

LeBron and Savannah's oldest child, Bronny, recently shared on Instagram that he is committed to playing basketball for the University of Southern California. He captioned his post with "Fight On #committed." LeBron, expressing his pride, commended his son's decision during a post-game press conference, stating, "I'm proud of him. It's truly remarkable. As far as I know, Bronny is the first in the James family to attend college, unless it dates back to my great-grandparents or ancestors from even earlier times."
Two months later, Bronny had a cardiac arrest while practicing basketball at USC and was immediately taken to the hospital. A spokesperson for the James family informed We that the medical team successfully treated Bronny, and he is currently in a stable condition outside of the intensive care unit. The James family respectfully requests privacy, and further updates will be provided to the media as more information becomes available. In July 2023, TMZ revealed that emergency services were summoned to USC's Galen Center, and Bronny was transported to the hospital in an unconscious state by ambulance.
