Reflecting on this moment during their "Amy & T.J." podcast episode on December 12, they expressed their satisfaction in reclaiming the narrative of their relationship. "We proudly flew to L.A.," Robach, 50, shared. "We didn't have to hide from paparazzi, we just walked off the plane hand in hand."
Robach expressed how wonderful it was to be seen with Holmes in public without any shame, highlighting how even the smallest things can suddenly feel so amazing. Similarly, Holmes explained how they had been avoiding LAX due to media attention on their relationship, but this time they felt proud to be seen together, even inviting the media to take their picture as they stepped off the plane.
The couple attended the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2023 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on December 1, marking their official public debut together.

"We had a great time," she added. "We were just being ourselves. It seems that being affectionate and showing a lot of PDA is part of who we are, but you know what? We're in love. We're happy. I don't know how else to behave."
Robach didn't think their public display of affection was "that excessive," joking, "We just held hands and laughed!"
The pair made a striking entrance on the red carpet, both sporting chic black ensembles. Robach looked stunning in a sleek leather mini dress paired with black ankle boots, while Holmes opted for a velvet blazer, black trousers, and a pristine white shirt. They weren't hesitant to display their affection as they posed for photos outside the venue. At one point, Holmes was seen whispering into Robach's ear while gently placing his hands on her hips, prompting a joyful giggle from her.
T.J. Holmes admitted during a podcast that he has a tendency to let his hands drift lower than the waist when he puts his arms around Amy Robach, calling it a "bad habit." He humorously mentioned that he is attempting to break this habit publicly.
Reflecting on their milestone moment, Robach expressed a sense of relief at being free from hiding, running, and avoiding the spotlight following their cheating scandal chaos. Robach and Holmes, who had worked together at Good Morning America for several years, were photographed being affectionate outside of the office in November 2022, while both were still married to their respective partners, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig. ABC promptly removed Robach and Holmes from the air as the drama unfolded, and We reported in January that the pair were no longer employed with the network. Their departures were officially announced later that month.
Holmes and Robach have both ended their marriages and are gradually shedding more light on their romance. In their podcast debut on December 5, they sought to share their side of the story, asserting that they were already separated from Fiebig and Shue when their relationship began.
