Children often come up with surprising questions, and Bradley Cooper makes an effort to minimize his phone usage when spending time with his 6-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine, even when she wants to look up existential queries on Google.

During a conversation with Emma Stone on the December 8 episode of Variety's "Actors on Actors," Cooper, 48, shared his daughter's thought-provoking question. "The other day, my daughter asked me, 'What happens after we die?'" he recounted.

Stone expressed, "Oh, no!"

Cooper attempted to be straightforward with his daughter, whom he co-parents with his ex Irina Shayk. "I told her, 'Honestly, I don't know.' Because I believe in always being honest with her," he explained.

Lea, however, was confident that the answer could be found, and she even knew where to look. "Doesn't Google know?" Cooper said she asked. "I was like, 'Oh my God.'" The actress from Poor Things gasped. "She actually asked if Google knew?"

“Yes. I was like, ‘Maybe,'” he said.

Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper were spotted by Steve Granitz/WireImage. When asked if he looked it up on Google, Stone did not, instead opting to get ice cream.

Cooper's friend mentioned that he probably had internet access through his smartphone, but Cooper replied that he preferred to focus on Lea and didn't like using his phone around her. Stone acknowledged this and complimented Cooper, calling him a really good dad. (It's worth noting that Stone is also a parent, as she shares a daughter with her husband.)

Shayk, 37, and Cooper had their first and only child together in March 2017, two years into their relationship. Despite ending their romance in July 2019 after four years, they continue to co-parent amicably.

In a November interview with Elle, the model expressed, "He's the best father Lea and I could dream of. It always works, but it always works because we make it work."

Amid their hectic schedules and lack of a nanny, Shayk highlighted that she and Cooper are dedicated to providing their daughter with a fulfilling childhood. “We make sure to bring Lea along with us wherever we go,” she mentioned. “She’s incredibly adaptable. Just two days ago, I had to hit the gym, so I handed her a drawing book and said, ‘Mommy’s working out.’ She ended up drawing for an entire hour. Later, we attended the Michael Kors fitting together. She got to meet all the girls and Michael even gifted her a bag. She drew him a picture of a kitty cat.”

Both Cooper and Shayk have moved forward. While the actor has most recently been involved with Gigi Hadid, Shayk was dating Tom Brady during the summer and fall. Although they parted ways in October, they were spotted spending time together on Friday, December 8, in Miami.
