In Marvel Snap, there is a wide selection of cards available to players for building various decks. While some cards possess unique synergies or independent power, others lack the recognition of being considered "better" cards. These cards, although they may possess useful abilities, tend to be overlooked in Marvel Snap.
As a highly competitive game, players prioritize using meta cards that quickly enable successful combos and secure victory in specific locations through a significant display of Power. Other cards, often neglected in fans' collections, currently do not meet the requirements to be part of Marvel Snap's competitive framework.
10 Mantis
Cost cards in Marvel Snap can be challenging to choose from, as many of them offer beneficial abilities that can greatly contribute to a successful strategy. However, not all 1-Cost cards are equally valuable, and some are better off being disregarded, especially when compared to meta 1-Cost cards.
Mantis is a prime example of such a card, as her On Reveal ability falls short in terms of significance. This ability allows players to draw a card from the opponent's deck if they played a card at Mantis' location during the same turn, but it ultimately lacks practicality. With its reliance on chance and limited synergies, Mantis is far from being considered a top-tier choice in Marvel Snap.
9 Adam Warlock
Contrary to popular belief among fans, Adam Warlock is not one of the most formidable cards in Marvel Snap. In fact, he is a 2-Cost card with no Power whatsoever, making him practically worthless. However, his ability adds an interesting mechanic for players who enjoy it.
If players successfully control the location where Adam Warlock is placed, they have the advantage of drawing an additional card at the end of their turn. While this may seem beneficial, Adam Warlock's lack of Power and other useful features make him unsuitable for inclusion in any deck.
8 Cable
Similar to Mantis, Cable possesses the On Reveal capability, enabling players to retrieve a card from the opponent's deck. Despite having 2 Power to enhance a location, Cable's insignificant ability and lack of prowess make him an unfortunate drawback in a 12-card deck.
The mechanic of taking one of the opponent's cards lacks satisfaction for fans, as they are uncertain about the card they will receive. Additionally, since the opponent's card was situated at the bottom of their deck, they would not have relied on it anyway. Cable's only usefulness lies in his mediocre synergy with The Collector.
7 Agatha Harkness
Agatha Harkness is often considered one of the weakest 6-Cost cards in Marvel Snap. While she does provide 14 Power, players have limited control over their card placement and selection due to Agatha Harkness' ability. In comparison to more popular decks, an 'AFK' deck can be challenging to manage and may result in frequent losses. Ultimately, there are many other 6-Cost cards with superior abilities and utility.
6 Mister Sinister
Mister Sinister is rarely used and is not often included in meta-based decks. This 2-Cost card has 2 Power and the ability to add a Sinister Clone with the same Power when revealed.
Although some fans have utilized Mister Sinister in destroy decks, there are numerous other cards that would be more beneficial in the 2 Energy spot. Two cards with initially only 2 Power are not ideal for strategic location control.
5 Angel
Angel has often been criticized in the Marvel Snap community as one of the weakest cards in the game, which is quite laughable. Despite being a 1 Cost card with only 2 Power, some players may have expected the X-Men character to possess a remarkable ability. However, the truth is that his only capacity is to "fly" in place of a friendly card that has been destroyed, as long as Angel is in the player's deck.
Regrettably, this ability is generally considered to be useless as Angel provides insufficient value for it to be worth having him enter the game just to contribute a mere 2 Power to a location. The only scenario where Angel could potentially be of use is if players choose to sacrifice a card at Death's Domain.
4 Hawkeye
Hawkeye is one of the "starter" cards available to players when they first download Marvel Snap. Initially, Hawkeye doesn't appear to be a bad card in the early stages of players' collections. However, as players progress to Pool Three, Hawkeye becomes a less desirable card and is often overlooked.
With a cost of 1 Energy and 1 Power, Hawkeye's On Reveal ability grants him an additional +3 Power if the player places a card at Hawkeye's location on their next turn. Eventually, Hawkeye becomes inferior to the character Rescue and reveals the player's future move, as he relies on a card being played at his location.
3 Mister Negative
The character Mister Negative in Marvel Snap was initially seen as a fascinating concept for creating unique deck combinations. However, the actual experience with this character turned out to be disappointing. Mister Negative heavily relies on chance and specific cards to be effective, making him unreliable.
Mister Negative, a 4 Cost card with -1 Power, possesses the ability to swap all Energy costs and Power on cards in the player's deck when revealed. While this ability could be amazing in combination with cards like Iron Man and Iron Heart, the reliance on luck is too significant. Additionally, there is a lack of synergistic cards available to fully utilize Mister Negative's potential.
2 Cerebro
Despite being a unique card, Cerebro does not make it into the competitive realm of Marvel Snap. Although it is a 3-Cost card, Cerebro would have been highly sought-after if it possessed a greater level of Power and effectiveness in its ability.
Cerebro's Ongoing ability grants +2 Power to the friendly card with the highest Power, but this boost is not significant enough to distinguish it as "outstanding." While Cerebro can somewhat deliver with strategic placement alongside Onslaught, Mystique, and others, there are many other 3-Cost cards that are far more efficient.
1 M'Baku
M'Baku has been labeled as a "meme" card ever since it was introduced in Pool Three. It is considered one of the weakest cards in Marvel Snap, ranking towards the bottom of the list. With a cost of 1 and 2 Power, M'Baku's ability does not offer enough value to be included in any deck.
The card lacks a practical use, as M'Baku's ability merely allows him to randomly relocate within the player's deck at the end of the game. While there is a remote chance that M'Baku may secure a win for players who are trailing by 1 Power if he lands in the right spot, it is still not a reliable or efficient strategy.
