Netflix has chosen a director for their film adaptation of The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo. The best-selling novel, written by Taylor Jenkins Reid and published in 2017, tells the story of a fictional Old Hollywood starlet who, at 79 years old, gives her final interview, revealing details about her seven marriages and other scandalous tales. The book was a massive success, spending 54 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list and gaining popularity on TikTok. Netflix acquired the rights for the film adaptation, and according to Deadline, Leslye Headland, who recently finished working on the Star Wars series The Acolyte, will be directing the highly-anticipated project.
