Billie Eilish expressed her desire for a happier state if critics refrained from making derogatory remarks about her physique. In a recent interview with Vogue, the 21-year-old artist candidly shared the difficulties she faces, stating that she possesses a firm stance on her body that surpasses any external opinions. Eilish also reflected on the impact such criticism would have had on her younger self, admitting that she would have struggled to navigate the online world if subjected to the same level of scrutiny at the age of 11.

Eilish revealed that she has grown to appreciate herself more, although she admits that negative comments about her body still affect her. Despite prioritizing her own feelings over those of online trolls, she acknowledges that their hurtful words still sting. Additionally, Eilish shared that she used to embrace a more masculine and boyish appearance, but she has now come to understand that she has the freedom to express herself however she pleases.

"I embrace my femininity and embrace my sensuality, while also showcasing my cuteness. However, I refuse to be confined by any predefined labels or expectations. I am simply being true to myself," she expressed. She further revealed her desire to explore various styles as a means of expressing the diverse aspects of her personality.

Having faced criticism for her glamorous transformation in 2021, the talented artist behind "Happier Than Ever" has proven time and again her resilience in shutting down detractors. She courageously addressed the scrutiny surrounding her fashion choices and the unfair double standards she has been subjected to.

"People cling onto these memories and form an emotional connection [to my previous appearance]," Eilish shared with Elle in October 2021. "However, it is incredibly dehumanizing. I lost 100,000 followers solely because of my breasts. It seems that people are intimidated by larger breasts."

Eilish further revealed that she was taken aback by the constant and unforgiving criticism, which caught her off guard as she simply "wrote and produced music."

"I never asked for attention on my personal life," she stated in an interview. "My friends are aware that I have no interest in seeing any negative comments. It genuinely hurts me when people send me mean messages."

In May, a discussion sparked when Eilish shared a photo on Instagram of herself wearing a cropped T-shirt, revealing her pierced belly button and the top of her dragon tattoo on her hip. One commenter expressed disappointment, saying, "I thought she would be different and not conform to societal expectations," while another replied, "What happened to her not wanting to be objectified?"

“I endured relentless criticism during the first five years of my career for my tomboyish style and the way I dressed. I was constantly told that I would be more attractive if I embraced a more feminine image,” she expressed on her Instagram Story. “And now, when I finally feel comfortable expressing my femininity through my clothing choices, I am accused of selling out and people question what happened to the old me. It's ridiculous... I am allowed to evolve and be multifaceted, just like any other woman. Stop being ignorant. Let women be themselves! :)))”

The response to Eilish's sexier looks is not always negative. Fans went wild when she posted a picture of herself in a yellow bikini, praising her swimsuit choice and her toned physique. Some fans even expressed that they were breathless and overwhelmed by her beauty.

Eilish, despite facing ongoing public scrutiny, has developed effective coping mechanisms to maintain her composure and find respite from the constant scrutiny of the spotlight. In an interview with Vogue, she revealed that taking baths is one of her preferred methods of relaxation. Additionally, she finds solace in playing games on her phone, which brings her a sense of contentment. However, she acknowledges that navigating her unique circumstances has been challenging and admits to still being in the process of figuring it all out. Undeniably, Eilish's life is undoubtedly unconventional.
