Billie Eilish has recently shared her feelings towards women in her new song, "Lunch," which is the second track on her latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, released on May 17th.
In the song, the 22-year-old nine-time Grammy Award winner sings about her intense attraction towards a woman, expressing how she could never get enough of her and how she feels a strong craving for her. The lyrics are filled with passion and desire, creating a sultry chorus and a second verse that is even sexier.
She continues, "Baby, I believe you were created just for me. Someone should jot down the recipe. I've been making an effort not to indulge too much because you're just so irresistible. You're like a sweet treat."
Eilish had previously given a sneak peek of "Lunch" and other songs from her upcoming album during a Do Labs Coachella event in April.
While speaking to Rolling Stone that same month, the “What Was I Made For?” hitmaker got candid about how “Lunch” helped her discover and embrace her sexuality.

Eilish shared with the outlet that the song played a significant role in her personal growth. She revealed that she began writing it before having any experiences with girls, and completed it after. Throughout her life, she had feelings for girls but didn't fully comprehend her sexuality until recently. Eilish expressed surprise at herself for openly discussing her sexuality, as it was something she never intended to do.
In her November 2023 Variety profile, she mentioned being physically attracted to women.
She expressed, "I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real."
After walking the red carpet at Variety's Hitmakers event, Eilish accused the outlet of outing her. She was asked if she intended to make her coming-out a big deal. Eilish responded, "No, I didn't. But I kind of thought, 'Wasn't it obvious?' I didn't realize people didn't know. I just don't really believe in it. I'm just like, 'Why can't we just exist?' I've been doing this for a long time, and I just didn't talk about it. Whoops."
When the original article was published, she mentioned, "I was like, 'Oh, I guess I came out today.' OK, cool. It's exciting to me because I guess people didn't know, but it's cool that they know. I am for the girls."
She later took to Instagram and wrote, "Thanks Variety for my award and for also outing me on a red carpet at 11 AM instead of talking about anything else that matters. I like boys and girls, leave me alone about it, please. Literally who cares."
Hit Me Hard and Soft is out now.
