Danny Masterson marked his birthday in prison with his daughter Fianna and estranged wife Bijou Phillips by his side.

Phillips, who is 43 years old, along with their 10-year-old daughter, paid a visit to California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo on Saturday, March 16, as reported by the Daily Mail. This visit took place just three days after Masterson's 48th birthday celebration.

Masterson's daughter reunited with him after Phillips was granted full custody of their child. In October 2023, Masterson agreed to give Phillips full legal and physical custody of Fianna, following her request for divorce a month earlier. Despite being sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexual assault in September 2023, Masterson asked for visitation rights.

Phillips filed for divorce just days after Masterson's sentencing, ending their 12-year marriage. Masterson was convicted of two counts of forcible rape for incidents from the early 2000s, which he has consistently denied since his arrest and charges in 2020.

Before Masterson was convicted, Phillips stood by him throughout the legal process. She was visibly upset and cried out in pain when the court announced the guilty verdict in May 2023.

Phillips also wrote a heartfelt letter to Judge Charlaine Olmedo, speaking highly of Masterson's character before his sentencing.

In a letter obtained by The Underground Bunker, which focuses on Scientology news, I am reaching out to ask for your consideration when sentencing my husband, Danny Masterson. I relied on Danny to care for both me and our daughter. I always believed that our daughter would be in good hands because Danny is a wonderful father. He was dedicated to our daughter, spending time reading to her, taking her for walks, and bringing her to ballet classes. I never heard him complain, and the bond between the two of them was unbreakable.

Phillips, who tied the knot with Masterson in 2011, expressed that she and Fianna were deeply saddened by his absence.

She continued, "More than anything, she loves her father. When he calls us each day, she ends with ‘I love you too much Daddy.’ We need him more than you can imagine. I know he has been convicted of serious crimes. But the man I married has only been an extraordinary husband to me and a devoted father to our daughter."

Phillips has since shifted her focus to motherhood — and her future.

A source told Us earlier this year that Phillips is not concerned about the past, sharing, “Bijou is trying to put the whole sordid mess behind her and concentrate on building a new chapter.”

The article highlights the complex emotions and conflicting realities surrounding Danny Masterson's prison visit from his estranged wife, Bijou Phillips, and their daughter, Fianna. While Phillips initially stood by Masterson during his legal battles, her decision to file for divorce shortly after his conviction suggests a shift in her perspective.

The visit to the prison underscores the ongoing tension between Masterson's status as a convicted rapist and his desire to maintain a relationship with his daughter. The fact that Phillips was granted full custody of Fianna, despite Masterson's request for visitation rights, further complicates the situation. It remains unclear how the family will navigate these conflicting dynamics moving forward, particularly given Masterson's lengthy prison sentence. victims of sexual assault, who may struggle to find closure and move forward in the wake of such traumatic events.
