Bijou Phillips is dedicated to caring for her daughter Fianna while her estranged husband, Danny Masterson, is serving a 30-year prison sentence.
On Monday, December 11, the 43-year-old Phillips shared a social media post showing her 9-year-old daughter icing cookies for the holidays. Though Fianna was not shown in the frame, the heartwarming mother-daughter moment comes after Phillips was granted full custody of her child.
In October, Masterson, aged 47, gave Phillips full legal and physical custody of Fianna, following her initial request for divorce. This came a month after Masterson's own request for visitation rights when he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexual assault. Phillips filed for divorce just days after Masterson's sentencing, ending their 12-year marriage. Masterson had been found guilty of two counts of forcible rape dating back to the early 2000s, but has consistently denied the allegations since his arrest in 2020.
Before Masterson’s guilty verdict, Phillips stood by his side throughout the legal proceedings. She broke down in sobs and emitted a pained cry when the guilty verdict was delivered in the courtroom in May, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
Phillips also wrote a heartfelt letter to Judge Charlaine Olmedo, passionately defending Masterson’s character before his sentencing.

In a letter obtained by The Underground Bunker, a source for Scientology news, she wrote, "I am writing to you to ask that you consider this information when sentencing my husband, Danny Masterson. I depended on Danny to take care of me and our daughter. I always felt that she would be okay because Danny is an amazing father. He was devoted to our daughter, would read her books, take her on walks and to ballet lessons. I never once heard him complain. The two were inseparable."
Phillips, who married Masterson in 2011, said she and Fianna were “heartbroken” by his absence.

"She loves her father more than anything, ending each call with 'I love you too much Daddy,'" the woman continued. "We need him more than you can imagine. I know he has been convicted of serious crimes. But the man I married has been an extraordinary husband to me and a devoted father to our daughter."

In September, Masterson's attorney, Shawn Holley, announced plans to appeal his client's sentence. During the same month, a source revealed to Us that Phillips felt compelled to end her marriage due to financial concerns. An insider stated, "This experience has been devastating and humiliating for Bijou. She is prioritizing being a mom and securing her future, no matter what."
