Barbie Pascual from Below Deck made a dramatic exit by leaving the boat late at night just before season 11 ended. During the finale on May 28, Barbie seemed optimistic about the future. She was discussing plans with her boyfriend Kyle Stillie and getting ready to go back to her family. However, the mood changed during the final crew night out when Xandi Olivier brought up Barbie's past mistakes.
Xandi, who was drinking with the group, acknowledged, "We all know Barbie would have been gone. I would have let you go if you were my stew due to your bad attitude, but you have adapted now."
Barbie, not pleased with Xandi's compliment on her progress, responded, "I'm sorry that the interior team has been against me, but I made it through. You mentioned you would have fired me if I were your chief stew."
Xandi tried to explain that she was happy Barbie made it to the end, but her point didn't seem to get through.
Barbie responded by saying, "I made it through because my captain believed in me, and I worked hard all season. Why do I always receive negative comments? Why is it always against me? I'm still here. I'm done. I'll stop talking. All I've done is be kind and grateful to you. Why are you attacking me?"
The argument in the van on the way back to St. David escalated when Kyle and Paris Field joined in. Meanwhile, Fraser Olender tried to calm Xandi down as her anxiety grew.
"You should try to relax a bit," Kyle advised Barbie. "Trust me, you need to calm down. I've got your back."
Kyle's lack of support only made the situation worse, especially since they had just exchanged "I love yous" for the first time earlier that night. Xandi couldn't handle Barbie's yelling anymore and yelled that she wanted to get out of the car.
After getting back on board, Barbie locked herself in her room at first. She expressed her frustration by saying, "I don't need any of these idiots in my life. I've worked hard to be successful. Forget everyone else."
She then said, "Kyle, please leave me alone. You're supposed to be on my side, but all you do is support others. Stop being a backstabber. I'm tired of everyone, especially you."

Barbie’s demeanor shifted as she decided to pack up her bags and leave.
Barbie expressed her frustration, announcing her decision to quit, feeling overwhelmed and fed up with the situation. She declared, "You guys wanted to drive me crazy? You win. Everybody wins. I don’t need this and I’m done." Barbie emphasized her need for a break by stating, "I’m going to go straight to a five-star resort. You pieces of s—t. I don’t need this."
In a confessional, Barbie clarified that despite her emotional outburst, she was not actually leaving her job. She explained, "This is not me quitting because my job is done. All I did this season was put my ego aside and work on myself." Barbie expressed her disappointment with the lack of support from those around her, stating, "And to have these people continuously continue to be against me it just sucks. Nobody here cares about me."
Barbie left in a car without speaking to Kyle, calling the incident the "worst thing that could have happened."
On screen, Barbie tearfully expressed that she and Kyle are no longer together. She stated, "I am never going to be with somebody who doesn't have my back. To have this guy that I broke every wall with and I went against my family with, to have this guy sit next to me and let these people attack me. Kyle is the biggest disappointment of them all. I never want to see Kyle again."
After the drama, the crew went to sleep and woke up in the morning with some regrets. Kyle specifically revealed that his relationship with Barbie was officially over hours after they were discussing the next steps for them.
Kyle shared that he received a message from Barbie the previous night, which said, 'Change your f—king flight. I never want to see you again.' He expressed feeling heartbroken and betrayed, stating that he had put his heart on the table but felt like he had been taken for a ride.
Xandi was not happy with how her conversation with Barbie ended, expressing, "I feel disappointed about how things turned out. I regret saying it, but they say a drunk mind speaks sober thoughts."
After learning about the situation, Captain Kerry Titheradge reached out to Barbie to check on her. During their phone call, Barbie explained her reasons for leaving late at night.
She expressed her disappointment with how everything unfolded. Feeling done, she emphasized the importance of surrounding herself with caring individuals while working on self-improvement. She mentioned her preference for booking a nice villa next to the hotel she didn't like.
Kerry understood Barbie's decision to leave, acknowledging that she didn't quite fit in during a tense season. He sympathized with her efforts to assimilate despite the challenges.
Barbie revealed to We before the finale on Bravo that she had mixed feelings about watching the season playback. In March, she acknowledged, "I'm surprised by my behavior and I definitely feel remorseful." One of the main misunderstandings viewers had from the show was that she lacked compassion. Barbie noticed the negative comments about her being mean, which she believes is the biggest misconception.
Barbie shared that she is putting in long hours at work and is fully dedicated to getting the job done. She emphasized her focus and expertise, mentioning that while she may not always come across as sweet, she is not mean or malicious.
Season 11 of Below Deck can be watched on Peacock for streaming now.
Editor's P/S:
Barbie's dramatic exit from "Below Deck" was a culmination of simmering tensions throughout the season. Xandi's insensitive comments about Barbie's past mistakes ignited an argument that spiraled out of control, fueled by Kyle's lack of support and the crew's ongoing hostility. Barbie's frustration and sense of isolation reached a breaking point, leading her to make an impulsive decision to leave the boat.
It's important to note that Barbie's emotional outburst and subsequent departure were not a reflection of her overall performance or character. She had worked hard throughout the season and had earned the respect of Captain Kerry. However, the toxic environment on the boat, coupled with the lack of support from her supposed boyfriend, created an unsustainable situation. Barbie's decision to prioritize her well-being and leave the negative atmosphere was a necessary step for her personal growth and happiness.
