Quinton Aaron, known for his role as Michael Oher in The Blind Side, has come forward to support his co-star Sandra Bullock amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the film's real-life characters. Directed by John Lee Hancock and released in 2009, the biographical drama portrays Oher's journey from homelessness to becoming a first-round NFL draft pick with assistance from the Tuohy family. Recently, Oher filed a lawsuit against the Tuohy family, accusing them of manipulating him into a conservatorship for their own financial gain.

Aaron, in a recent interview with EW, defends Bullock and firmly asserts that she should not be subjected to any criticism for her involvement in The Blind Side. Despite the demands for her to return her Best Actress Oscar, which she won for her performance in the film, Aaron boldly tells those individuals to "shut up." Read Aaron's full statement below.

"Please go to the corner, face the wall, and reflect on your words. The two are unrelated. Sandra did not deceive anyone. She did not create this situation, if you understand what I mean. She is an actress who was compensated for her work. She performed exceptionally well and received recognition for her talent. Why undermine her accomplishments? My mother always told me to think before speaking, and now I understand why.

"The Blind Side has provided great hope for many people. It is heartbreaking because I have personally met and developed respect for the individuals involved during the time we worked on this project, which saved my life. To hear this negative portrayal in the media is distressing. I sincerely hope that a resolution can be reached where everyone involved can find closure, preserving what they have built over the years. Despite everything, beyond the movie, beyond any other factors, they were a family."
