Ryan Reynolds' Hilarious Birthday Tribute to Sandra Bullock Celebrates Infamous 'Proposal' Scene

Ryan Reynolds celebrated Sandra Bullock's 59th birthday by sharing a playful throwback from their film The Proposal. In an Instagram post, Reynolds, 46, wished Bullock a happy birthday while jokingly mentioning that he got them both intimacy coordinators, an HR department, and clothing. The accompanying clip was from the 2009 romantic comedy.

Reynolds and Bullock's characters unintentionally collide while completely nude in the video. Bullock previously shared her experience filming the not safe for work (NSFW) sequence, expressing her long-standing friendship with Reynolds since their adolescence. During a December 2021 guest appearance on Adam Ray's "About Last Night" podcast, the actress revealed this information.

She continued, "On that day, we had to film the nude scene. Our director, Anne Fletcher, is absolutely amazing. She made sure the set was closed, with only the hairstylists and makeup artists allowed. They were there to make adjustments and cover up. Both Ryan and I had flesh-colored coverings on our private parts, and my hair was strategically placed to conceal my nipples. As for Ryan, well, whatever was there was there, but I didn't actually see it so I can't really say."

Bullock did mention that at one point, she overheard Fletcher shouting, "Ryan, we can see your ball sack!" However, despite any curiosity she may have had, she chose not to look. "In a true friendship, you simply don't care about those things. It wasn't my place to look," she explained.

The Oscar winner praised Reynolds, 46, for his calm and composed demeanor, describing him as effortlessly cool.

Similarly, Reynolds expressed his adoration for working with Bullock and expressed his eagerness to collaborate on another film with her. In an interview with Access Hollywood in April 2011, he admitted that rejecting such an opportunity would be unwise.

The costars have undeniable chemistry onscreen, but they each have separate romantic partners in their personal lives. Bullock has been in a relationship with photographer Bryan Randall since 2015 and they are jointly raising her adopted children, son Louis (13) and daughter Laila (11). According to an exclusive source, Bullock has been very involved in her children's school activities since taking a break from acting, which she revealed in June 2022.

Reynolds, on the other hand, tied the knot with Blake Lively back in 2012. The couple has been blessed with four children: their daughters James (8), Inez (6), and Betty (3), and their fourth child, born in February, whose name and gender they have chosen to keep private.
