Baldur's Gate 3: What Are Wares
Interacting with objects in Baldur's Gate 3 offers players numerous options, including the ability to send them to wares. Although not mandatory, adding items to wares can alleviate some of the burden of inventory management. This comprehensive guide aims to shed light on the intricacies of this process, equipping fans with a thorough grasp of how wares function in Baldur's Gate 3.Simply put, wares in BG3 refer to items that players wish to sell to vendors. Fans can think of the "add to wares" feature as similar to the "mark as junk" feature seen in other RPGs. When an item is added to wares, an icon will appear in the character's inventory.
While using icons to mark junk certainly helps in finding useful items in the inventory, it is not the primary reason for sending items to wares. The main advantage of this feature is that it allows BG3 players to sell all their junk to a vendor with just one click. To do this, fans need to interact with a vendor, switch to Barter by clicking the toggle at the top of the trade window, and then select "Sell Wares" in the bottom-left corner.
Baldur's Gate 3: How to Mark Items as Wares
There are three ways to mark items as wares, and they are as follows:
Right-click on an item in the environment and select Pick Up and Add to Wares.
Right-click on an item in inventory and select Add to Wares.
Hold shift and left-click on an item in inventory.
There are multiple ways to interact with items besides adding them to wares. One option is for players to send items from the environment and their inventories to camp, which is a convenient way to manage Camp Supplies. Carrying these items around is unnecessary for Baldur's Gate 3 characters since fans can easily find them in a Traveler's Chest at the campsite.
Another option is for players to send items to other party members' inventories by right-clicking on them and selecting the appropriate option. This feature not only allows for equipping party members with new gear but also helps in organizing inventories. Fans who neglect to distribute loot collected by their main character may quickly become overwhelmed by the state of their inventory.
Baldur’s Gate 3 releases on August 3 for PC and September 6 for PS5. An Xbox Series X/S version is in development.
