The hit RPG recently received a fantastic modding upgrade, courtesy of Sildur, a talented user from Nexus Mods. Sildur's latest creation, named Party Limit Begone, accomplishes the impressive feat of increasing the game's maximum party size fourfold, allowing for up to 16 characters to journey together. Additionally, this mod brings a doubling effect to Baldur's Gate 3 multiplayer parties, enabling eight players to team up for an exciting co-op session.

Larian's latest RPG, Baldur's Gate 3, introduces 10 recruitable companions. However, only nine can be enlisted in a single playthrough due to two being mutually exclusive. To fully utilize the newly released mod, players must hire additional party members from Withers. While the game's companions have extensive voice acting, backstories, and can be romanced, hired help is solely intended to enhance the party's combat capabilities.

With the ability to bring 16 recruits into battle, the game's numerous fights become significantly easier. This is especially notable considering Baldur's Gate 3 was designed for a party of four. As a result, the Party Limit Begone mod primarily accommodates players who find the base game too challenging or those who simply enjoy the chaos of having a larger party for each encounter.

Regarding the multiplayer features of the mod, in order to accommodate eight players in co-op sessions, it is necessary to initiate a fresh playthrough. The creator of Party Limit Begone also mentioned that participating in eight-player sessions may result in certain bugs occurring during specific parts of the storyline. This is primarily due to the fact that a number of cutscenes in Baldur's Gate 3 were programmed to accommodate a maximum of four characters, hence the additional players could potentially trigger unforeseen glitches that would require restarting.

Currently, Baldur's Gate 3 is available on PC and will be released on September 6 for PS5, with plans for an Xbox Series X/S version under development.
