Baldur's Gate 3: Mastering the Spider Infestation in the Treacherous Rocky Crevice

The true treasures in Baldur's Gate 3 aren't readily apparent. They are cleverly concealed beneath massive boulders or lurking behind hidden doors in dungeons. However, there is a conspicuous device that holds a humble yet valuable bag.

Though gamers may be tempted to seize the opportunity, Baldur's Gate 3 explicitly reveals that this crevice is infested with swarming spiders, claiming possession of the pouch. Of course, players have the option to ignore the pouch and relinquish the treasure, but where's the excitement in that?

Getting The Pouch In The Rocky Crevice

The following is recommended for getting the coin pouch:

Reach in for the bag.

If the character succeeds and gets the bag without provoking the spiders, reach in again to attack them.

Despite their menacing appearance, encountering spiders in this stage of the game is actually quite simple, especially for characters with a full party or those playing with friends. Engaging in combat with the spiders provides valuable experience points that every gamer should seize. Failing to defeat them is not only acceptable but even encouraged. Successful players can still choose to provoke the spiders by reaching into the coin pouch.

Regardless of the outcome, the player will acquire the coin pouch. A successful nature check will reveal that the pouch contains a spider egg, which can be used as a useful grenade-style weapon in challenging battles. Label any insignificant loot as "ware" and depart with additional experience points and gold.

Baldur's Gate 3 is currently in Early Access for PC and will be released on August 3, 2023. The PlayStation 5 version will be released on September 6, 2023, while the Xbox Series X/S version is currently under development.
