Upon entering the character creator in Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time, players may feel overwhelmed by the array of choices available. In addition to selecting race and class, gamers are tasked with customizing their character's appearance. Some players may opt to quickly jump into the game by randomizing their character's look or sticking with the default appearance.
However, there are those who may initially be content with their character's appearance but become dissatisfied with their hairstyle during a cutscene. Despite the multitude of empowering features in Baldur's Gate 3, is it truly impossible to alter haircuts after hours of searching?
Changing Hair Color/Styles
There is currently no way to change hair or physical appearance in Baldur's Gate 3.
Players can change their helmet, hat, and armor options to hide the hair partially or fully.
Unfortunately, at present, it is not possible to alter hairstyles within the game. However, it is highly likely that either the developers or modders will resolve this issue in the near future. If you are currently in the process of creating your character, it is strongly advised to make this decision with great caution.
For gamers who find the hairstyles unappealing but do not wish to start from scratch, a suitable alternative would be to alter the clothing and headwear to conceal the style. Fortunately, there is a method to enable helmets to be visible even during casual conversations, which effectively conceals the hair. This, of course, assumes that the helmet or hat being worn is sufficiently large.
The concern of the sex scenes and moments when the character takes off the hat remains unresolved. Hopefully, this matter will be addressed promptly because playing a game of this magnitude with an unappealing hairstyle can diminish the satisfaction of the experience.
Baldur's Gate 3 is currently accessible for PC. The release for PlayStation 5 is scheduled for September 6th, 2023. Development for the Xbox Series X/S version is ongoing.
