Ava Max suffered an eye injury in Los Angeles after being violently struck by a concertgoer. The 29-year-old "Sweet But Psycho" singer took to Twitter in the early hours of Wednesday, June 21, to share the distressing incident, which occurred shortly after her show on Tuesday, June 20, in L.A.

According to videos taken by fans, the artist of "Kings & Queens" was engaged in lively dancing and spinning on stage when a man suddenly slapped her. However, the security guard quickly intervened and removed the man from the scene.

Max persevered through the drama and continued to engage and capture moments with meet and greet attendees even after her performance, as one fan attested. Sharing a photo on Wednesday, Twitter user @corylarrabee expressed admiration for Max's dedication, noting that despite her eyes being closed behind her sunglasses, she still managed to participate in the meet and greet session.

Bebe Rexha suffered a black eye and required stitches after being hit by a cell phone during her show in New York City on Sunday, June 18. The incident took place just two days before Max's show, where a similar incident occurred. The person responsible for throwing the phone, Nicolas Malvagna, 27, was arrested and charged with assault.

“On Sunday, June 18, 2023, around 10:00 p.m., authorities were alerted to a violent incident at the concert venue of Pier 17, situated at 89 South Street in the 1st Precinct area,” stated the New York City Police Department. They further added that the individual responsible for the attack deliberately hurled a mobile phone at Rexha.

Malvagna admitted to the police that his intention was to throw his phone at Ava Max during her concert as a means of amusement.

Todd A. Spodek, the attorney representing Malvagna, released a statement to TMZ on Tuesday addressing his client's intentions. According to Spodek, Malvagna's only goal as a fan was to have photos taken with Ms. Rexha using his phone, with the intention of keeping them as a memento. He asserts that there was never any intention on Malvagna's part to harm or injure Ms. Rexha.

One day after the attack, Rexha shared photos of her injury via social media, including two selfies that featured her black eye and stitches.

Rexha playfully captioned her Instagram snaps on Monday, June 19, with "I'm good," alluding to her popular collaboration with David Guetta. Alongside her Instagram upload, she also posted a TikTok video where she provided a detailed account of her injuries. Reassuring her fans, she captioned the post with "I'm OK you guys."
