Ashley Iaconetti believes that Trista Sutter, a fellow member of Bachelor Nation, may be part of the season 3 cast of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
During the Wednesday, May 15 episode of their "Almost Famous" podcast, Iaconetti, 36, mentioned that she was curious about Trista's whereabouts. She noted that Ryan Sutter's Instagram post on Mother's Day seemed mysterious, but not in a negative way.
"She's gone for two weeks," Iaconetti mentioned. "I heard that [former Bachelorette] Ali Fedotowsky is also away for two weeks, she had a similar post. Do you think she's filming a show? Or maybe she's on a Special Forces mission? I actually told her she would be great for Special Forces."
Iaconetti and Higgins' guest, Bob Guiney, who appeared on the first season of The Bachelorette with Trista in 2003, responded, "She could be, I'm not exactly sure."
On Sunday, May 12, Ryan, 49, posted a message on social media about his wife Trista being away from their two children: son Maxwell, 16, and daughter Blakesley, 15. They got married in 2003 after meeting on The Bachelorette.
In the post, Ryan expressed how they all wished Trista could be with them for Mother's Day. He shared that part of being a mom is knowing when to let go, encourage independence, and nurture a brave spirit in their children. He emphasized the importance of leading by example and showing through actions rather than just words. The heartfelt message was accompanied by a family photo on Instagram.

Ryan mentioned that Trista being away from her kids would show that "your love knows no bounds, not even distance or challenges or time." He ended the post by saying, "Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. We're so proud of you, mama pajama, for all that you do for us, whether near or far. Happy Mother's Day!!!"
Trista responded in the comments with a heart emoji.
Fedotowsky, who is 39 years old, posted a screenshot on Instagram on Wednesday. The picture showed her FaceTiming her husband Kevin Manno and their son, 6-year-old Riley.
In her caption, Fedotowsky mentioned that she won't have her phone for a while. She added that this will be the longest time she has ever gone without talking to her family. Fedotowsky and Manno, who is 40 years old, also have a 7-year-old daughter named Molly.
She mentioned that she was very emotional after bidding farewell to her children.
Higgins, 35, highlighted on Wednesday that Trista's background in Special Forces could help maintain Bachelor Nation's strong showing on the show. In the first season, former Bachelorette Hannah Brown and her runner-up Tyler Cameron, along with former Bachelor Nick Viall and Olympian Erin Jackson, were the only ones to successfully complete the course.
He joked, "If she ends up winning this crazy show, we might need to question The Bachelor's casting choices. I might be tougher than I realized!"
Earlier this month, Fox announced the renewal of Special Forces for a third season. The series, launched in 2023, puts contestants through challenges based on the real United States Special Forces selection course. Contestants can leave voluntarily, be medically removed, or get disqualified for not finishing the course's final task.
