Ashley Iaconetti expressed doubts about Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist blaming their divorce on long distance. According to Iaconetti, their recent interview on Good Morning America seemed insincere. She pointed out that it was contradictory to claim they were still in love and then get divorced shortly after.

Iaconetti, aged 36, shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories on April 12. She suggested that, especially at their age, living in different states shouldn't be a reason to end a marriage. Instead, she proposed a solution where they could live in separate states like Indiana and New Jersey but still visit each other regularly. In her opinion, maintaining a loving marriage while living apart and commuting to each other is a viable option. She remained skeptical about the idea that moving was the sole reason for their divorce after only three months of marriage.

Iaconetti wasn't too shocked to hear about Turner and Nist breaking up after getting married in January. She shared that after attending the Golden Wedding, her friend Naz Perez invited her to discuss it on the 'I Don't Get It' podcast. However, Iaconetti declined, explaining that she didn't have much of a reaction to the news.

Turner filed for divorce in Petersburg, Indiana on April 12. He stated that the reason for their separation was an "irretrievable breakdown" of their marriage. On the same day, they announced their split on Good Morning America. Turner and Nist shared that the distance in their living arrangements across the country contributed to the end of their relationship.

On Friday's broadcast, Turner shared that he and Theresa have had several heartfelt conversations. They have carefully examined their living arrangements and together they have decided that it's time to end their marriage. One thing that stood out to Turner during their discussions is how committed both of them are to their families. After considering everything, they both feel that living separately will bring more happiness to each of them.

Turner expressed, "I still have love for her, without a doubt. I cheer her on every single day."

Turner and Nist have a prenuptial agreement in place. They have decided to follow the terms of the agreement by returning their Neil Lane wedding and engagement rings.

Both Turner and Nist are entering their second marriage. In their previous marriages, Turner was married to Toni for 43 years until her passing in 2017, while Nist was married to Billy for 42 years until his passing in 2014. They each have two adult children and several grandchildren from their late spouses.

Ashley Iaconetti's skepticism about Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist's divorce reasons raises valid concerns. Their claim that long distance was the sole factor seems insincere given their age and the short duration of their marriage. Iaconetti suggests alternative solutions, such as regular visits and commuting, highlighting that distance should not be an insurmountable obstacle for a loving couple. Her doubts stem from her own attendance at their wedding and the lack of a strong reaction to their divorce announcement.

Turner and Nist's decision to divorce after only three months of marriage, despite expressing continued love for each other, further fuels speculation about the true reasons behind their separation. Their prenuptial agreement and the return of their wedding rings suggest a level of premeditation and financial protection that may have influenced their choice. The complexities of their previous marriages and the presence of adult children and grandchildren add additional layers to the situation, making it difficult to fully understand the dynamics that led to their divorce.
