Ariana Madix has no intention of performing dances to songs that mention Scandoval while on Dancing With the Stars.

The 38-year-old Madix spoke out on her Instagram Story on November 27, responding to fans' inquiries ahead of the Semi-Finals on November 28. When a follower asked why she didn't dance to Taylor Swift's song "Vigilante S–t" during the show's Swift-themed night on November 21, Madix explained that she had established boundaries for the show.

"Except for Week 1 and the Most Memorable Year Night, I made a personal rule to not perform songs about that subject matter," the Vanderpump Rules star responded, referring to her highly publicized breakup with Tom Sandoval, who was involved with Raquel Leviss. "Even my Most Memorable Year routine was intended to showcase my 2022 losses and the incredible support system I have." (For Madix’s Most Memorable Year Routine, she danced a Waltz routine to Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever.”)

Madix further explained that her favorite song by Taylor Swift is "Cruel Summer," which is why she was adamant about performing to it. "Taylor's team wanted it in the show, so I really wanted it to be my own," she added.

In her Q&A, Madix shared that she rehearses for the show for 4 hours a day, but this week it has increased to 5 hours. On Tuesday, Madix and pro Pasha Pashkov will perform a Foxtrot to “Trampoline” by Shaed and Zayn, and a Jive. They will be competing against Jason Mraz, Charity Lawson, Xochitl Gomez, and Alyson Hannigan.

The DWTS season 32 finale will air on Tuesday, December 5. Madix reflected on the show coming to an end via her Instagram Story.

"The past few months have been truly life-changing and an incredible experience," she wrote on Monday. "It's almost unbelievable that it's coming to an end... Working with such amazing people and being part of such a positive show has been a dream come true."

She added, "I am so grateful to have come this far and been part of this journey. I can't imagine a better place on television, and I have no idea what I'll do with myself after this!"
