Angus Cloud's last words to his mother were imbued with affection. "You're the greatest, mama. I adore you," Lisa Cloud, the mother of the deceased actor, revealed to People magazine the sweet sentiments her son had expressed to her on the fateful evening. "I'll be with you when the sun rises."
She and others who were close to the "Euphoria" actor talked to the publication about his final days.
Cloud died in July of an accidental overdose. He was 25.
Cloud, also known as "Conor" to his loved ones, was discovered unresponsive in his Northern California residence by his mother, Lisa Cloud. Despite Lisa's efforts to revive him, he remained unresponsive.
"I desperately called out for my neighbor, unwilling to leave his side and dial 911. I persistently persisted until they intervened," she recollected. "The void his absence has left in my heart is immeasurable. He was everything to me."
Cloud passed away due to a fatal mixture of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepine, as confirmed by the Alameda County Coroner. Lisa Cloud clarified to People that this combination caused his heart rate and breathing to decrease, leading to fatigue due to insufficient oxygen. Gradually, his slowed down bodily functions resulted in cardiac arrest, eventually causing him to peacefully drift into rest. It is important to note that Cloud's passing was not a result of intentional self-harm.
The younger Cloud struggled with substance abuse, and the show's creator, Sam Levinson, revealed that he supported the actor by facilitating his treatment for substance abuse. Levinson expressed his concern after noticing that Cloud was not in a good state, emphasizing the importance of his sobriety for their collaboration on the upcoming season.
Daniel Aguilera, a close friend of Cloud, spent the last evening of Cloud's life with him. Tragically, this day also marked the six-year anniversary of their mutual friend's passing due to a fentanyl overdose.
"I have lost two of my dearest friends, both to fentanyl, almost on the same day. It feels like a cursed fate," Aguilera expressed. "I regret not staying with Conor, and now I struggle to cope with the guilt. Nevertheless, I consider myself fortunate for having had them both in my life."
