Andy Cohen is affirming his support for the choice to exclude Ramona Singer from BravoCon 2023. "I believe it was the correct decision," shared Cohen, 55, during an interview at the fan convention on Friday, November 3.
The former cast member of The Real Housewives of New York City was removed from the ongoing three-day event in Las Vegas after she sent a text message to a Page Six reporter in response to a Vanity Fair article. The article claimed that she had used a racial slur while speaking to a Black crew member on the show. In her attempt to justify herself, Singer abbreviated the racial slur as "N-word" in the text message. The screenshot of the text message was published by Page Six on Tuesday, October 31.
Cohen disclosed that he has been in contact with Singer since then, and the two have exchanged text messages. Although Ramona did not attend the convention, Us confirmed that her daughter, Avery Singer, was there to promote her business, Bach Boss.
Prior to the official start of BravoCon, a confidential source informed Us that Ramona was deeply upset and distressed by the negative reaction. The insider also stated that the reality star decided not to attend and it was a mutual decision between her and the executives.

According to another insider familiar with the network, this information contradicts the previous claim. The insider clarified, "Ramona was informed that she will not be attending BravoCon. It was not her decision to abstain."
In October 2021, Us magazine reported that Bravo initiated an investigation into Ramona following an accusation made by Eboni K. Williams, the first Black cast member in season 13 of RHONY. Williams accused Singer of making a racially insensitive comment. Additionally, in December 2020, a crew member filed a complaint against Ramona, which was verified by evidence.
During a training session with two racial justice representatives, a Bravo publicist, and an NBCUniversal communications expert, Ramona made a controversial statement that was revealed by Williams, 40, in Vanity Fair's exposé on Monday, October 30. According to Williams, Ramona claimed that "most" Black people do not have present fathers. Ramona, however, defended her statements by explaining that the training session allowed for "open dialogue" and that she had asked a question about a statistic she had read regarding the success rates of children in single-parent households compared to those in two-parent households.
Following the conclusion of RHONY season 13 in 2021, Ramona departed from the show. A fresh cast was introduced for season 14, which debuted in July. However, Ramona will still be part of the upcoming fifth season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, RHONY Legacy. Cohen assured Us on Friday that RHONY Legacy will continue as planned, despite the ongoing drama, and hinted that it will be an outstanding show.
