Taylor Swift had some special guests at her Mother's Day Eras Tour concert in Paris, including her mom Andrea Swift.

Swifties on social media noticed Andrea at Paris La Défense Arena on Sunday, May 12. She was seen in a star-studded suite with Taylor's guests, such as her boyfriend Travis Kelce, and friends Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper.

The fourth and final show in Paris marked the beginning of the European leg of the Eras Tour for the Grammy winner. It was also her first performance since releasing The Tortured Poets Department.

Taylor, 34, took to Instagram after the show to express her gratitude to everyone involved in making the new Tortured Poets section of the tour a success. She thanked her crew, fellow performers, and band for their hard work in putting together this surprise for the fans in Paris.

She emphasized her excitement to share this new segment with fans all around the world during the tour. Taylor expressed her gratitude to the Parisian fans for their enthusiasm, passion, and love, making the experience even more special. She looks forward to bringing the magic of the show to every crowd on the tour, with Stockholm being the next stop. See you very soon!

Last year, the singer paid tribute to her mom Andrea, who is 66 years old, during her performance at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Mother’s Day in May 2023. Taylor mentioned her mom, who was in the audience, during the Evermore set.

"Mother's Day is amazing," she shared with the audience. "My mom is my closest companion. I adore my mom."

During the acoustic portion of the performance, Taylor pleasantly surprised her mom with a live version of "The Best Day" from her 2008 album Fearless, a song that captures their strong bond.

She shared with the audience the story behind creating the track on Fearless. Taylor admitted, "I secretly recorded a song on Fearless. It was very sneaky and fun."

Despite being a teenager at the time, Taylor found it challenging to keep the song hidden from her mom. "I wrote this song by gathering core childhood memories of not just her as a mother, but also as a friend," she reminisced.

Taylor played the track for Andrea for the first time. Andrea didn't realize her daughter had written it about her.

“It’s such a beautiful song. Where did you find it? It sounds exactly like the things we went through,” Taylor remembered her mom saying.

Taylor then told Andrea that she had written a song about their mother-daughter relationship. She shared, "I wrote and recorded it secretly, capturing our memories." Andrea was touched and emotional upon learning the inspiration behind the track. Taylor expressed, "It was so sweet because I don't think she expected me to write a song about us."

In her 2019 album, Lover, Taylor included another song dedicated to her mother called "Soon You'll Get Better." This heart-wrenching ballad reflects Andrea's journey battling cancer, with diagnoses in 2015 and 2019.

Taylor shared during a YouTube livestream in 2019 that it was a tough decision for her family to include the song on the album. She mentioned that songs like that one, which are emotionally challenging to write, are often difficult to sing because they are so honest and true.
