Prepare for an exhilarating adventure beyond launch with Alan Wake 2! Immerse yourself in an alternate narrative and discover additional content in the highly anticipated game

Alan Wake 2 is set to be released later this week, carrying on the narrative of the original psychological thriller from 2010. For fans who simply can't get enough of the eerie cult favorite, there's even better news: Alan Wake 2 will feature a New Game+ mode after it launches, offering a different storyline.

The official Alan Wake 2 Twitter account confirmed the existence of this planned mode, although Remedy Games has yet to announce a specific release date for the update. However, they did provide some information on what players can anticipate from the New Game+ mode in Alan Wake 2.

Similar to other games, New Game+ allows players to retain all their unlocked weapons and upgrades when starting a new playthrough. Additionally, a new Nightmare difficulty mode will be introduced, along with an alternative narrative featuring fresh Manuscript pages and video content.

Alan Wake 2 picks up the story of the eponymous writer, Alan Wake, ten years after the release of the original game. The sequel fully embraces the survival horror genre and also introduces a second playable character. Alan Wake 2 releases on October 27 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
