Nvidia GeForce Now Unveils Unexpected Price Surge: What You Need to Know!

After extensive beta testing, Nvidia finally launched its streaming service in early 2020. Alongside a free option, the service was also made available through a premium Founders membership, priced at $4.99 per month. A year later, the company introduced the Priority tier, which functionally mirrored the now-discontinued Founders subscription but was twice as expensive. Existing Founders members were allowed to transition to the new system while keeping their active subscriptions.

And while the "Founders for Life" benefit still applies to early adopters, other members will soon face a significant price increase. Starting November 1, GeForce Now users in Canada will see a notable change in their subscription fees. The monthly price for Priority subscriptions will rise from $9.99 to $13.99. Additionally, the six-month Priority plan will experience a 40% increase, now priced at $69.99. For the Ultimate tier, the monthly rate will be raised from $19.99 to $25.99. Its six-month equivalent will retail at $139.99 instead of $99.99. The GeForce Now rates will also be adjusted in the European Union, with comparatively smaller increases ranging from 10% to 20%.

Nvidia has outlined a forthcoming price increase on its support pages, attributing the adjustment to the necessity of accommodating heightened operating costs in the impacted markets. Those who are currently undecided about acquiring a membership for GeForce Now may consider taking action prior to November 1 in order to secure one of its subscription tiers at the existing pricing for the following six months. Notably, the modification will also extend its impact on membership gift cards; however, any cards acquired prior to November 1 will still be honored upon redemption, in accordance with Nvidia's support pages.
