Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw are reigniting their past love affair once again. This comes after their passionate kiss in Sex and the City 2. John Corbett's character from Sex and the City, Aidan Shaw, finally made his long-awaited appearance on the latest episode of And Just Like That. Without delay, he asked Sarah Jessica Parker's character, Carrie, out for a Valentine's Day dinner.

Despite a initial misunderstanding about the restaurant's location, Aidan and Carrie managed to reconnect towards the end of Thursday's episode. Following a lovely dinner date, Aidan agrees to join Carrie for a nightcap at her apartment in West Village.

Standing on the stoop of her iconic New York City brownstone, Aidan expresses his surprise, saying, "When you mentioned going back to your place, I assumed it was a different place. At the restaurant, I felt like things were going really well, and we were back to where we started. But now, I see this damn wall I couldn't break through, and those floors... remember when I redid them? It's all just not good. It's all there."

Carrie, who had an on-and-off relationship with Aidan from season 3 of the original series, confessed that things have changed since then. Although it is the same location, the circumstances are different now. Carrie remarks that the place doesn't even have the same appearance anymore, as she has put up new wallpaper and repainted the walls. Reflecting on their past, Carrie ponders whether their relationship with Aidan was truly all negative.

After the death of her husband Big in the Max pilot, Carrie sold their Upper East Side penthouse by the end of And Just Like That season 1. Despite not letting go of her cherished downtown apartment, Carrie made the decision to permanently move in once the sale was finalized. While she transformed her beloved space, Aidan had doubts whether it could fully conceal the weight of their complicated past.

"I hear you, I simply cannot do it. Despite my strong desire, I am unable to confront that situation again. I have made up my mind to never step foot in there again," Aidan, a divorced father of three in "And Just Like That," shares.

Acknowledging Aidan's perspective, Carrie comprehends that time does not necessarily mend all wounds, despite her optimistic beliefs. Aidan, who had come to New York City from his residence in Arizona, declares that it is now the moment to depart.

"Never mind, this is New York. Surely there are hotels available," he interjects, pivoting to meet Carrie's gaze as they exchange an intense kiss.

"In an instant, Aidan and I reconciled," Carrie, portrayed by Parker, asserts through her voiceover as the episode fades to darkness.

Thursday's episode suggested that Aidan will be staying in New York City for a longer period of time, as hinted by showrunner Michael Patrick King last month. King, who previously expressed his intentions to not let Aidan's return go to waste, playfully commented to The New York Times in June about the possibility of the onscreen couple becoming endgame by the end of the season.
