At The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment Gala in Los Angeles, Adele, 35, spoke openly about motherhood. Reflecting on her decision to have son Angelo during the peak of her career after the success of her album, 21, she expressed no regrets.
"It felt like pure chaos to me," she reflected on her sudden success. "It was like overnight I became famous. It was the most bizarre and surreal experience of my life, even to this day."
The celebrity admitted that many would view having a baby during the peak of her career as "career suicide."
"Nevertheless, being one who always challenges the norm, it was at that moment when I made the decision to refuse the limited concept of success and the belief that one must always be current to achieve success," she elaborated. "And just maybe, I could make a significant impact both on and off the stage."

“You’ll never guess what — I f–king got away with it,” the singer quipped to applause from the crowd.
Adele attributed her success to the sacrifices made by women before her, stating that she has the right to be the boss at work and at home because of their efforts. She expressed her gratitude to them.
Adele recently shared that Angelo, now 11, and his friends don’t have any idea that she’s a celebrity.
Adele shared with The Hollywood Reporter that her son's school has a strong community atmosphere and the kids there are not concerned about her celebrity status.
Audiences at her Las Vegas residency, scheduled to extend into 2024, have also gained insight into Adele’s life as a mom. In a recent show, the singer shared that she had to prepare "60 chicken kebabs" for her son’s class.

“I did it the next day. It went great,” she said in Thursday’s interview. “I spilled the turmeric everywhere, so it stained my whole kitchen.”
Adele and her ex-husband Simon Konecki share custody of their son, Angelo, after separating in 2019 and finalizing their divorce in 2021. By August 2021, Adele was confirmed to be dating sports agent Rich Paul, and by June 2022, sources revealed that both Adele and Rich Paul want to have children together in the future.
