Adele and Rich Paul caused a stir on the internet when they openly started referring to each other as spouses. However, this was not a recent development as the couple has been using these titles for quite some time.
According to an exclusive source in the latest issue of We, Adele and Paul are not legally married but have been calling each other husband and wife for a while now. The source also reveals that Paul started using the term "wife" just two months into their relationship, and Adele appreciated the sense of security it provided and the depth of his affection for her.
The couple, who started their relationship in 2021, have not yet gotten married and don't seem to be in a hurry to do so.
According to an insider, "At this stage, marriage is merely a ceremony. They already live and behave like a married couple."
Marriage speculation between Adele and Paul arose in September after a fan proposed to Adele at one of her Las Vegas concerts. Adele denied the proposal, stating that she was straight and her husband was present at the show that night. "No, I have no interest in trying! I am with Rich," she jokingly replied to the persistent fan, as captured in social media footage. "You're crazy, please leave me alone."

Over a week later, Adele further intensified the speculation about her marriage by referring to herself as Paul's wife in another concert. Humorously addressing the audience, she remarked, "I've dedicated a significant amount of my time trying to comprehend and appreciate American football. Despite my partner's immense passion for it, I must admit I'm not the most knowledgeable wife when it comes to the sport."
Paul and Adele have not given much thought to getting married, but they are both thinking about having a baby. (Adele is already a mother to her 10-year-old son Angelo, whom she had with her ex-husband Simon Konecki.)
During a concert in Las Vegas in August, Adele shared her desire to become a mother again and mentioned that she has been keeping a list of names that she likes on her phone. In fact, she even helped a pregnant fan choose a name for her baby girl during the show.
