Aaron Rodgers has already returned to The Pat McAfee Show. The 40-year-old quarterback made a surprise appearance on the ESPN program on Thursday, January 11th, after host Pat McAfee had announced on Wednesday, January 10th, that the New York Jets quarterback had completed his fourth season on the show.

"Introducing Aaron Rodgers to the chat, Pat McAfee, 36, announced on Thursday that the last person Bill Belichick spoke to on the field as head coach of the New England Patriots was Rodgers. When Rodgers joined the conversation, he inquired if people could see him, to which McAfee assured him they could and complimented his appearance. Rodgers then shared that his offseason had begun and that he was currently in the woods with limited internet accessibility."

Rodgers has been a regular guest on The Pat McAfee Show since 2020, offering his insights on sports and other colorful, often controversial topics. On a recent episode, he made baseless remarks suggesting that ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel might be linked to Jeffrey Epstein. "There are a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are hoping that list doesn't get revealed," Rodgers mentioned when the Epstein list was mentioned. He then stated, "I'll tell you what, if that list is made public, I will definitely be popping some sort of bottle."

Rodgers' comments about Kimmel, 56, sparked a public dispute between the two, resulting in Kimmel threatening legal action. Kimmel took to social media to address Rodgers directly. "Dear A**hole: Let me make it clear that I have had no interaction with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any phony 'list.' Your irresponsible accusations have put my family at risk. If you continue, I will see you in court," Kimmel wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

When Rodgers chose not to apologize, Kimmel then criticized him on his late night show. McAfee later announced that Rodgers would be leaving The Pat McAfee Show and expressed relief about the recent controversy. "The way it ended, it got real loud and I'm glad that won't be a part of my social media mentions moving forward," McAfee said of Rodgers' statements.

He continued to discuss Rodgers’ departure, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to converse with and learn from him. He also expressed relief that he will no longer have to deal with the controversy that Rodgers' comments often stir up on a weekly basis.

However, McAfee clarified that Rodgers’ absence from his show may not be permanent, as he explained, "Yesterday, I’m just getting absolutely crushed. I’m like, ‘How do I explain to all these humans that Aaron Rodgers has an off-season too … and this is always how it’s gone with Aaron Rodgers Tuesday."
