From a distance, it may be somewhat difficult to discern its true identity, but it adds substance to a keyring and is as extraordinary as everything else included in this collector's edition.

The level of detail in the Mindflayer is unmatched, although some of it is somewhat diminished in the depiction of the other character and the Underdark decorations. Nevertheless, the exceptional quality of the Mindflayer manages to outweigh these minor shortcomings.

The placement of the Mindflayer in this diorama is a major concern due to its two-piece construction: the base and the Mindflayer itself. Pressing the Mindflayer into the base requires significant force, raising worries about potential damage. Additionally, although it fits securely and doesn't easily detach when held upside down, a sufficient amount of pressure or the right angle can easily dislodge the Mindflayer. To avoid accidents, it is recommended to assemble and display the diorama in a high, safe location away from busy areas like PC desks or near the PS5.

Nevertheless, fans are guaranteed ample value with this Collector's Edition, especially when considering that the price of the game is included. Its worth is likely to appreciate given the positive critic reviews and overall reception of Baldur's Gate 3.
