Zendaya Stuns in Unique Ensemble at Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards

Zendaya has a talent for making any outfit look great, even the most unconventional ones.

Recently, at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 7, the 27-year-old actress sported a skintight corset paired with low-rise baggy boyfriend jeans from Jean Paul Gaultier.

To complete her look, Zendaya accessorized with a metallic choker that adorned her neck, an array of bracelets on her arms, and a variety of belts.

Law Roach, Zendaya's trusted stylist, recreated her outfit to match the exact look seen on the Jean Paul Gaultier spring/summer 2020 runway. The only change was the choice of shoes. Zendaya opted for white pointed-toe pumps, while the model wore PVC platform heels during the show.

It's not often that celebrities wear outfits straight off the runway because fashion shows often showcase exaggerated pieces that may not be practical for everyday wear.

Fans were blown away by Zendaya’s Thursday ensemble, taking to the comments section of a post of the getup shared by fashion credits account @checkthetag.

Zendaya attended a pre-Oscars dinner hosted by W Magazine and Louis Vuitton, just a few hours after the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards. She stunned in a beautiful gray silk gown by the French fashion house, accentuated with cascading black ribbon at the waist.

In April 2023, Zendaya became an ambassador for Louis Vuitton. The label introduced their partnership with a campaign featuring the iconic Capucines bag.
