Zelda Gamer's Invention Shocks with Impressive RoboCop-Like Mech!

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a skilled player creates a formidable autonomous mech reminiscent of the iconic RoboCop adversary Prepare to be amazed by this deadly creation!

Highlights

Tears of the Kingdom players have tapped into their imagination and ingenuity to create a multitude of mechs, drawing inspiration from diverse sources like Robocop.

Huydeptrai0794, an active member of the Reddit community, brilliantly assembled a mech reminiscent of the formidable ED-209 utilizing mine carts as its foundation and incorporating exclusive Zonai weaponry and captivating design elements.

Huydeptrai0794's mech operates autonomously, enabling Link to freely explore and observe the ensuing destruction, leaving no chance for the monsters unless the Zonai battery cells are depleted.

In another instance, a player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has constructed a mech that bears a striking similarity to the robot featured in Robocop. Tears of the Kingdom introduces numerous new abilities for Link, stimulating the imaginations of players and inspiring the development of numerous remarkable devices that significantly transform the gameplay.

After one player shared evidence online of their mech creation using the new tools and powers in Tears of the Kingdom, it sparked a wave of creativity. Players who had the time, resources, and patience began building and showcasing their own unique versions of battle bots. From bizarre snake-like mechs to ones resembling those found in Iron Man comics, players have been innovatively designing piloted machines to easily overcome any challenge in Hyrule.

The most recent addition to the Tears of the Kingdom mech concept comes from a Reddit user known as Huydeptrai0794. In the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, they uploaded a video clip featuring a mech greatly resembling ED-209, the autonomous mech developed by the nefarious Omni Consumer Products corporation in the Robocop franchise (which is soon to be its own video game). ED-209 is famously known for malfunctioning during a demonstration and tragically killing one of the Omni executives. Fortunately, Link is unlikely to encounter such a catastrophic event.

Huydeptrai0794 created a mech resembling ED-209, using mine carts primarily sourced from the Goron-inhabited region of Eldin in the northeastern part of Hyrule. Similar to ED-209, Huydeptrai0794's creation is equipped with two weapons positioned beside its head: a Zonai Canon on the right and a Zonai Beam Emitter on the left. The mech's legs rotate backwards behind its torso before extending downwards, resembling the legs of a chicken, with large tires serving as hip joints to facilitate movement. An interesting design element incorporated into the mech is an Achilles heel made of a Zonai Stabilizer, which provides both balance and structure between its foot and leg. Overall, this mech bears resemblance to other inventive mechs constructed by skilled Tears of the Kingdom players, with the unique addition of being completely autonomous.

In an effort to surpass previous mech designs, Tears of the Kingdom players have exerted maximum effort. Huydeptrai0794's latest innovation takes it up a notch by being self-piloted, allowing Link the freedom to explore and witness the destruction caused by the mech from a safe distance. Without the aid of Robocop, the monsters' chances of survival depend solely on the longevity of Huydeptrai0794's Zonai battery cells.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Nintendo Switch.
