Phil Boutte: I've had the pleasure of working with Zack on multiple occasions, including projects like Justice League and Man of Steel. Working with him for the first time on Man of Steel was a fantastic experience. He's not only incredibly collaborative, but also incredibly kind. However, what stands out the most about him is his boundless energy and his remarkable vision. The way he perceives things is truly incredible.
Being around that kind of energy, especially as an artist, is inspiring. It makes you want to create more and explore new possibilities, simply because of the way he views things. Specifically for Rebel Moon, our direct collaboration was with Stephanie Porter, the costume designer. Our role was to assist her in developing the world of the project. I know that Zack's approach involves starting with a broad concept and expanding from there. He provides a general idea of what he wants and emphasizes the uniqueness of the characters.
He has specific preferences, but then he gives you the freedom to unleash your creativity and fill in the missing parts.
