Players of XDefiant on PS5 and Xbox Series X can look forward to an exciting feature as the game will support 120Hz on these current generation consoles. Developed by Ubisoft, XDefiant is a highly anticipated first-person shooter with unique weapons and abilities for each playable faction. During Ubisoft's recent Ubisoft Forward presentation on June 12, gamers were given a sneak peek at some of the titles in development, including extensive footage of XDefiant showcasing the various weapons available. Now, Ubisoft has announced that the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of XDefiant will support 120Hz, bringing an enhanced gaming experience to players.

According to Mark Rubin, Executive Producer at Ubisoft in San Francisco, XDefiant will run at 120Hz on PS5 and Xbox Series X, providing players with a seamless gaming experience. As XDefiant is a first-person shooter, this feature could prove to be crucial for gamers. However, players should keep in mind that they will require a capable TV to run the game in this mode, although most modern TVs come equipped with this feature.

Ubisoft will soon be hosting an open beta for XDefiant, offering players the opportunity to try out the game for themselves. The beta period will run from June 21 at 10 AM PT to June 24 at 11 PM PT, giving players approximately three days to participate. Furthermore, those who played the closed beta of XDefiant will have an additional day to play the game, starting from June 20.

At the presentation, Ubisoft revealed its launch plans for XDefiant, including the amount of content that players can expect upon release and a roadmap for Year 1. The Preseason event for XDefiant will run for six weeks and feature 14 maps, five factions, and five modes. Moving forward, Ubisoft aims to release new content every three months, adding 12 maps, 12 weapons, and four factions to XDefiant. With a packed first year of content, it remains to be seen whether Ubisoft can carve out a space for XDefiant in a competitive genre. XDefiant is currently in development for Amazon Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
