Jessica Alba wanted to throw a party for her daughter Honor's 16th birthday, but her offer was declined. Alba, who is 43 years old, shared this story during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, June 3. She mentioned that Honor is now officially driving and will be turning 16 very soon, on Friday, June 7.

Alba remembered thinking, "This is my chance to impress as a party host for your 16th birthday," but Honor, who was 15 at the time, found the idea embarrassing and couldn't imagine anything worse.

Alba remembered boasting, "I throw the best parties in the world!"

Honor simply said, "I just want to have dinner with my friends, like around 22 of them, and we'll just play games."

Alba excitedly exclaimed, "I have a game idea! We can set up different stations and create cutouts of you. And everyone can wear pajamas!" Honor responded, "Are you serious? Do you want me to never see my friends again?"

Alba and her husband Cash Warren have three children together: Honor, Haven, and Hayes. In 2012, she founded The Honest Company, which focuses on baby-safe products. This idea came to her in 2008 when she had a bad reaction to laundry detergent while pregnant with Honor. The online store launched in 2012 with just seven products.

Recently, Alba announced that she was stepping down as the Chief Creative Officer of The Honest Company. When asked about this decision by Jimmy Fallon, she compared it to sending a child off to college. Alba expressed that while it was a difficult choice, she is excited for what the future holds.

Alba, known for her roles in the Fantastic Four superhero movies and the TV series Dark Angel, is making a comeback in acting.

Last month, Alba met with Us at the Monster Jam World Finals XXIII in L.A. She was accompanied by her three children and talked about her return to the silver screen after dedicating over ten years to her Honest brand.

"I've been away from entertainment for 12 years, so I feel it's time to dive back in and explore new creative opportunities," she shared with Us. "I'm thrilled about my upcoming movie, Trigger Warning, set to release on June 21st on Netflix. It's an action-packed film that I also had a hand in producing."

In Trigger Warning, she portrays a Special Forces officer who inherits her grandfather's bar upon his passing. Returning to her hometown, she finds herself in a clash with a local gang. The movie features Anthony Michael Hall as her co-star, with Mouly Surya at the helm as the director.

"I really enjoy watching action movies," Alba shared on The Tonight Show. She mentioned her interest in doing stunts and expressed her desire to be part of a grounded, cool, female-driven action movie.

Alba highlighted that Trigger Warning has a strong female presence in the crew. She pointed out that there are many women serving as heads of departments in a genre that is typically male-dominated. She also emphasized that some of the most impressive individuals she knows are women, noting their ability to give birth.
