During a recent episode of The View, a roundtable discussion included Alyssa Farah Griffin mentioning her friend's claim that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. exercises at the gym while sporting jeans. Whoopi Goldberg chimed in with her own opinion on this matter.
Cohost Sunny Hostin asked, "Who would do such a thing?" In response, Griffin, 34, stated, "Yeah, that's something a serial killer would do."
On her part, Sara Haines questioned the practicality of wearing such attire, as she finds it difficult to sit comfortably in jeans. Goldberg, 68, chimed in, sharing her experience of working out in jeans without any problems. Hostin then asked Goldberg how she dealt with sweating in a heavy piece of clothing around the private area.
"According to the EGOT winner, it is important to change your clothes once you reach home. Sometimes, due to time constraints, you may not be able to take a break like others and instead seize any opportunity to fit in some exercise!" Haines, 46, expressed her curiosity and seemed unable to understand Goldberg's perspective.
"Did you really exercise in your jeans, at the public gym, with people watching?" she asked, and Goldberg affirmed the statement.
Joy Behar defended Goldberg, stating that she couldn't comprehend why it's such a significant issue.
"I don't know, but it seems to be quite strange to certain individuals," Goldberg quipped.
This isn't the first instance where the View cast has engaged in debates about their fashion choices on the talk show. Earlier this year, Behar and Goldberg were completely bewildered by the top that Griffin had chosen to wear during a July episode.
Behar expressed her fascination with the shirt Griffin was wearing, to which Goldberg added that she initially hesitated to mention it. Griffin had chosen to wear a button-up shirt with a deconstructed sleeve, unsure if she had it on correctly but ultimately embracing the unique style.
Goldberg's dissatisfaction with the top's style prompted her to consider cutting off the sleeve. However, before resorting to such extreme measures, she consulted the show's stylist Fran Taylor to discuss the design. Taylor then disclosed that the shirt originally came with matching sleeves, but they were concealed by Griffin's long hair.
Upon realizing her fashion blunder, Griffin exclaimed, "Wait, now it all makes sense!" She admitted her lack of trustworthiness in matters of fashion and expressed gratitude for the presence of Fran to guide her.
