The When Calls the Heart cast members are showing their support for young star Mamie Laverock after she was seriously injured in a five-story fall.
Leading lady Erin Krakow, known for her role as Elizabeth Thornton on the Hallmark Channel series, shared a screenshot of a GoFundMe page on her Instagram on Monday, May 27, urging others to donate if they are able. The link can be found in her bio.
Johannah Newmarch, known for her role as Molly Sullivan, recently shared a fundraiser link on X. She expressed her love for the family and how heartbreaking it is to see them going through such a tough time. Newmarch urged her followers to help out in any way they can, as the family needs all the support they can get to overcome this difficult situation.
On May 11, Laverock, 19, experienced a sudden "medical emergency." Thanks to her mother, Nicole Compton, who acted quickly, Laverock was rushed to the hospital in time, saving her life. She was later transferred to a hospital in Vancouver, Canada for further treatment.
"We are doing our best to be there for her every day," wrote Nicole and Laverock's father, Rob Compton, on the page. "Any contributions would greatly assist us in staying by her side, as this could be a long journey of a month or more."
Nicole and Rob shared that Mamie was taken out of a secure hospital unit on Sunday, May 26, and tragically fell from a balcony walkway five stories high. Laverock sustained severe injuries, underwent multiple surgeries, and is currently in critical condition on life support.

The pair expressed their deep sadness and shock during this difficult time. As of Tuesday, May 28, over 200 individuals have contributed a total of $12,000 to the GoFundMe page, surpassing the initial goal of $10,000. Among the donors are When Calls the Heart actresses Loretta Walsh and Andrea Brooks, known for their roles as Florence Blakely and Faith Carter.
Laverock, known for her portrayal of Rosaleen Sullivan on When Calls the Heart from 2014 to 2023, received recognition for her role. She won the 2015 Young Artist Awards for Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actress Ten and Under, as well as the 2014 Joey Awards in Vancouver for Young Ensemble Cast in a Dramatic Series.
Laverock has also been seen in other TV shows and movies like The Killing Game, This Means War, Psych, The Hollow Child, Wedding of Dreams, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Spotlight on Christmas.
