An animated Dragon Ball video of Goku sparring with the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is gaining popularity on YouTube. The video, created by Eduardo Quintana, an animation supervisor at Sola Digital Arts, has been uploaded to his personal YouTube page. Despite its brief duration of under two minutes, the animation is of such high quality that it could easily be confused as an official release from Toei, the anime studio responsible for the Dragon Ball franchise. Quintana reveals that it took him 14 months to painstakingly complete this fan-made short, utilizing software programs such as Toon Boom Harmony, Autodesk Maya, and Audacity.
Entitled Dragon Ball Saisen - The Animated Manga, Quintana's viral video unfolds in the world of the 2018 epic anime film Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The story commences with Whis presiding over a showdown between Goku and Broly, who have trained together extensively, depicted through a motion comic format. As the battle commences, the film transitions from its manga-inspired panels to a dynamic fully animated clash between these mighty Saiyan warriors.
During the battle, Broly's composure is almost lost when Goku's punch leaves a scratch on his face. However, he manages to regain control of himself by recalling the joyful memories he shared with Goku and his companions. This allows him to shift from his uncontrollable Hulk-like form to a controlled Super Saiyan state. As of now, the Dragon Ball fan-animated video has amassed over 60,000 views since its release on November 7th.
Since his debut in the 1993 anime film Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly has become a beloved character in the Dragon Ball universe. His popularity led to the creation of two more animated films, Dragon Ball Z: Broly – Second Coming and Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly, both released in 1994. Dragon Ball Super: Broly brings back the Legendary Super Saiyan and continues the story from where the Dragon Ball Super TV series left off. Broly is credited to Takao Koyama as the creator, with Dragon Ball author Akira Toriyama responsible for the design.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers Season 4 has recently unveiled Broly as a new playable character in celebration of its one-year anniversary. This online asymmetrical multiplayer game can be enjoyed on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Publisher Bandai Namco is recognized for its involvement in developing other popular anime games such as My Hero Ultra Rumble and Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash.
