Dragon Ball: The Breakers' latest season adds fresh characters to the game, including the infamous Ginyu Force from the Namek Saga. Unlike other Dragon Ball games, The Breakers is an asymmetrical multiplayer game that offers a different gaming experience. Although it has received mixed reviews, Bandai Namco continues to support the game with seasonal content. New Raider and Survivor characters are introduced every season, with Raiders being tasked with eliminating all other players while Survivors team up to escape from them. In the first season, Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu were the iconic DBZ-era villains who served as Raiders. The second season introduced Vegeta from the Saiyan Saga. The third season introduces the Ginyu Force, a colorful Super Sentai squad parody from the Namek Saga, as the new villain that players can use to torment survivors.
Players will soon have the opportunity to play as the infamous Ginyu Force in Season 3 of the game, as announced in a special livestream on Bandai Namco’s YouTube channel. This Team-type of Raider allows players to control all five members of the dairy-inspired platoon, each with their own unique abilities based on their level. Guldo possesses Telekinesis and Time Freeze abilities to halt survivor players and set them up for high damage, while Recoome can search for players using his scouter and has a high damage output. As for the level 3 evolution, Jeice and Burter team up to use combination attacks that provide AoE coverage.
To showcase the importance of teamwork within the Ginyu Force, players don't permanently evolve into the next stage. Instead, they switch out to the next level, with the previous character they evolved from remaining in the area as an AI companion. If they spot a survivor, they immediately report their location to the player while keeping them pinned down for the Raider player to finish off. Captain Ginyu's special skill is his iconic Body Change technique, allowing him to swap bodies with a Survivor and sabotage their skillset. These exciting additions will be available in the game starting on June 9.
In addition to the powerful characters in the series, players will also have access to a set of Survivor skins based on some of the lesser-known characters such as Namekian Dende, King Kai, and Fortuneteller Baba. The upcoming season will introduce three new transphere characters, including Super Saiyan Bardock, Goten, and Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan. Fans can experience all of this new content in the game's Public Test Server before its official release in June. Dragon Ball: The Breakers is currently available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
