However, Lachey also expressed gratitude, confidence, and appreciation for the beloved fans of the show.
She continued, "I am processing this news while still being present with my family. I want to express my love for all of you! Thank you very much."
We confirmed on Friday, April 26, that CBS had canceled the NCIS spinoff. This means that the season 3 finale scheduled for Monday, May 6, will also be the series' farewell.
NCIS: Hawai’i debuted in 2021, showcasing Jane Tennant, played by Lachey, as the lead character leading a group of agents solving crimes on Oahu, Hawaii. This spinoff marked the first time a female protagonist was featured in an NCIS series.

Lachey hopes that her daughter, Brooklyn, and other young girls, will have more actresses who they can relate to in the future.
Vanessa, who is married to Nick Lachey and has three children - Brooklyn (9), Camden (11), and Phoenix (7), expressed her love for portraying Jane as a tough yet kind character.
When she landed the role, Vanessa relocated her family to Hawaii and developed close relationships with her fellow NCIS cast members.

Vanessa invited me to a big luau party at her house in Encino, California when we both got new jobs. She reached out to me through Twitter or Instagram, saying, "Come over, I'm throwing a party. I want to meet you."
NCIS: Hawai’i featured actors Noah Mills, Alex Tarrant, Yasmine Al-Bustami, and Tori Anderson. LL Cool J, known for his role as Sam Hanna on NCIS: Los Angeles, made a guest appearance during season 3.

"The chemistry between the characters and the sense of family they create is what really shines through. Being part of the ohana in Hawaii has been an incredible experience, and I feel extremely grateful to be a part of it all."
In his April interview, Antoon expressed his desire for a season 4 renewal. He mentioned that the entire crew would be devastated if the show was canceled.
