The Hawai’i star mentioned that the future of LL Cool J’s role is uncertain since the series has not been renewed for season 4 yet.

Antoon shared that the writers take the time to understand each actor, allowing them to incorporate personal traits into their characters. This helps to add depth and complexity to the relationships on the show, making it more interesting for viewers.
Looking ahead, Antoon remains optimistic about the future of his character, Ernie. He hopes that in the event of a renewal, Ernie will have the opportunity to explore a new romantic relationship.
Antoon teased his wife, saying it was his only opportunity to kiss other women, even though it was all pretend. He mentioned that this season was unusual for everyone because there wasn't much time to focus on character development after the strike.
Antoon shared that in season 4, viewers could expect to see Ernie in a new phase of relationships. He mentioned that there would be some dating storylines, with Ernie reverting back to his charming ways. Antoon assured that it wouldn't be a cliché portrayal of a ladies' man, as Ernie would still maintain his endearing qualities.
Antoon believes that Ernie should seek help from Lucy Tara (Yasmine Al-Bustami) in finding the perfect partner. Antoon thinks Lucy is enthusiastic about this and enjoys seeing Ernie explore his options. He suggests that she should be Ernie's wingman, as she is his close friend at the office.
