Vanessa Hudgens dismissed rumors of her pregnancy with her soon-to-be husband Cole Tucker. On Tuesday, October 24, the actress turned to social media to showcase a video showcasing her bachelorette getaway prior to their wedding. "Thanks to my amazing girlfriends and @airbnb, I had the most unforgettable bachelorette weekend in Aspen. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to call home base," wrote the 34-year-old Hudgens in the caption alongside footage of her joyously commemorating her engagement with her close friends.
Fans immediately started commenting, questioning why Hudgens chose to don hoodies and loose-fitting clothes for her getaway. One social media user expressed, "Why does she appear pregnant or as if she's attempting to conceal a bump?" In response, Hudgens clarified, "I'm not pregnant, so everyone can stop speculating."
Vanessa Hudgens happily shared glimpses of her romance with Tucker, 27, on social media, before dispelling rumors of pregnancy. Their dating rumors sparked in November 2020 when they were seen holding hands. (We exclusively reported on her breakup with Austin Butler in January 2020.)
Hudgens previously shared her criteria for a partner after being in a relationship with Butler for almost ten years.
"I'm open-minded when it comes to finding a partner. Ultimately, it's about having shared values and desires," she expressed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I'm not overly particular. I know what I'm looking for, and if someone can fulfill those expectations, then that's great. Their level of fame isn't a priority for me, and if anything, I would prefer them to be out of the public eye. However, only time will tell."
Hudgens and Tucker announced their relationship on Instagram in February 2021. He openly discussed their romance in an interview at MLB training camp later that month.
"I have a girlfriend who's really cool. She's amazing, and I love her," he shared with the reporters. "However, I don't want our relationship to be singled out like, 'Oh, Cole's dating Vanessa...' I want it to be treated just like Mitch [Keller] having his wife here, or Ke'Bryan [Hayes] having his girlfriend around. She's great, and she'll be present. You'll see her, but let's not dwell on the headline. It is what it is."
In late December 2022, after dating for over two years, the couple sealed their commitment by getting engaged. Hudgens delightedly revealed her diamond ring in an Instagram photo two months later. Reflecting on this significant milestone, Hudgens shared in an interview on Today in April, "It's an incredible feeling. It's quite amusing because I used to wonder if things would feel different after getting engaged, and now I can genuinely answer that question."
She continued, "And you know what? It truly does bring a sense of security. You feel incredibly safe. It's absolutely amazing. I absolutely cherish being engaged."
During the interview, Hudgens admitted that she realized Tucker was The One right from the start, stating, "I just knew. After spending our first weekend together, I called my sister and said, 'I think I've discovered my future husband.'"
Two months later, a source revealed exclusively to Us that Hudgens and Tucker have plans to start a family soon after getting married.
"They are both eager to have children now, and that is motivating their decision to get married soon," the insider stated in June. They also mentioned that Hudgens firmly believes that the baseball player will excel as a father.
