Vampire Dormitory anime unveils new PV and key visual, confirms release for Spring 2024

The Vampire Dormitory anime is set to release in April 2024

The anime adaptation was officially announced in October 2023, along with a teaser visual, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Nakayoshi magazine and the 20th anniversary of Ema Toyama's debut as a mangaka.

Earlier mentioned, the Vampire Dormitory anime's official team unveiled a fresh promotional video, revealing that the show is set to be released in April 2024. The brief footage showcases the main protagonists of the anime, Ruka Saotome and Mito Yamamoto.

The PV opens with Ruka appearing next to Mito, who is seen attempting to jump off a bridge. The charismatic vampire rescues her and takes her to his dormitory, where he tries to sink his fangs into her neck.

Ren Nikaido, who resides in the same dorm as Ruka, is also prominently featured in the mesmerizing PV. In addition to the teaser trailer, the official team has released a new key visual, which showcases Mito Yamamoto and Ren Nikaido.

The stunning heroine is shown alongside Ruka's fellow dorm resident, with the radiant full moon shining through the window. The illustration also reveals the anticipated April 2024 release date for the anime.

Crunchyroll will be streaming the Vampire Dormitory anime in North America, South America, Central America, Oceania, the Middle East, India, Europe, and the CIS. Further information about the anime's broadcast will be disclosed at a later time.

Studio Blanc is currently working on a vampire anime directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama, a well-known director with previous work on shows like Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds, and Smile Down the Runaway. Touko Machida is overseeing the scripts, and character design is being handled by Naomi Tsuruta. While the cast has not been officially announced yet, it is anticipated that the details will be revealed in the near future.

Adapted from Ema Toyama's manga, the Vampire Dormitory anime depicts the tale of a girl named Mito who cross-dresses, and her affectionate vampire companion, Ruka. Mito, lacking family support, survives by masquerading as a boy while living on the streets.
