Kazuyuki Yamayoshi is set to reimagine the character designs in an adaptation of Yoshinori Shizuma's original light novel illustrations. Jin Tanaka will once again take charge of the series scripts. Meanwhile, Ryousuke Naya is expected to return as the sound director, while Keiji Inai will compose the music. The second half of the second season is anticipated to feature new opening and ending themes.
The original series, created by author Shu and illustrator Shizuma, made its debut as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in April 2017. ASCII Media Works subsequently published the light novel version under the Dengeki Bunko imprint in March 2018, with Shizuma providing illustrations. Both the web novel and light novel are currently ongoing.
