Grammy-winning artist Usher has confirmed his participation as the headliner for the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. The event will take place at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium and will be presented by Apple Music, as stated in a press release by Roc Nation and the NFL on Sunday.
In a statement on Sunday, Usher expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl, calling it a lifelong honor. He excitedly announced that he will be showcasing a show unlike anything the world has seen from him before. Usher thanked his fans and everyone involved in making this opportunity happen, promising to see them soon. With his vast collection of R&B hits, Usher has been captivating audiences during his Las Vegas concert series titled "Usher - My Way The Residency." Since his debut album "Usher" in 1994, he has achieved immense success, selling over 80 million records worldwide and earning eight Grammys.
Usher's most popular songs include "U Got It Bad," "U Dont Have to Call," and "Nice & Slow," among a variety of others.
"Usher is the ultimate artist and showman," Jay-Z said in a statement on Sunday. "Since his debut at the age of 15, he has been paving his own distinct path. Alongside his impeccable singing and incredible choreography, Usher also exposes his soul."

While Usher had previously made an appearance on the Super Bowl halftime stage in 2011, where he performed "OMG" alongside the Black Eyed Peas, the upcoming 2024 show will mark his debut as the main act.
Rihanna's halftime show in 2023 broke the record as the most-watched halftime show ever. Super Bowl LVIs halftime show in 2022 was headlined by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
The Super Bowl is set to be broadcasted on CBS on February 11, 2024.
