The latest update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been released. The patch notes for December 14th outline a modification to the functioning of the Ghost perk in multiplayer, along with enhancements to the worm boss battles in Zombies mode.

One significant alteration in multiplayer is the adjustment to the Ghost perk. Previously, the perk would only be activated for a player while they were in motion. However, with this update, players equipped with the perk can now remain stationary for two seconds before the anti-radar effects are deactivated.

The developer has confirmed that the change was implemented in response to feedback. They stated, "We have implemented a grace period for the movement requirement of the Ghost T/V Camo. This update will allow players to remain undetectable by radar while stationary, removing the risk of their position being revealed from momentary pauses."

Additionally, several multiplayer playlists have had their score limits adjusted. For 10v10 matches, Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed score limits have been increased to 125, and for 12v12 matches, the limit has been raised to 150. Small map playlists will now have a score limit of 125.

In the Zombies mode, the Greylorm Aether Worm boss fight has been adjusted. The update fixes a problem where players could get pushed under the map if they were eaten by Greylorm and grabbed by a Mimic at the same time. It also prevents the boss from instantly dying after spawning.

Furthermore, a beneficial change has been made to the Gorm'gant worm boss fight in the Dead Signal mission. Light armored zombies will now spawn during this fight to give players a source of armor.

The latest update addresses several crash and stability issues, including a PC-specific crash at the start of Season 1. The complete patch notes can be found on Call of Duty's blog. Additionally, Warzone also received an update, bringing changes to footstep audio and weapon balancing for the battle royale.

Editor's P/S

As a hard fan of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, I am thrilled about the latest update that introduces notable adjustments to the Ghost perk and other aspects of the game. The modification to the Ghost perk, allowing players to remain stationary for two seconds before the anti-radar effects are deactivated, is a welcome change. This will provide more tactical opportunities and enhance the overall gameplay experience.

Furthermore, the adjustments to the score limits in various multiplayer playlists, such as increasing them for 10v10 and 12v12 matches, will make the games more engaging and allow for more intense battles. The fixes to the worm boss battles in Zombies mode, particularly the Greylorm Aether Worm and Gorm'gant worm boss fights, demonstrate the developers' commitment to addressing player feedback and improving the overall gaming experience.
