Unveiling Ubisoft's Unstoppable Masterpiece: Invincible Game in the Making

Ubisoft has officially announced the release of a new video game titled Invincible: Guarding the Globe, based on the beloved comic book-turned-cartoon. In collaboration with Skybound comics, Ubisoft has taken a unique approach, deviating from the expected action, adventure, or tactical RPG genres, and instead creating an Invincible free-to-play mobile idle RPG. This exciting news means that fans of Invincible who also enjoy free-to-play mobile games now have something to anticipate.

Invincible, originally written by Robert Kirkman and featuring artwork by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, is renowned for its darker and more intense portrayal of superhero stories. While the Invincible comic book has always enjoyed a dedicated following, its popularity soared even further with the debut of the animated adaptation on Amazon Prime Video. Fans can look forward to a second season of the Invincible cartoon, slated for release in late 2023.

Ubisoft and Skybound, the entertainment company owned by Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead, are collaborating to develop a new video game based on the popular comic series, Invincible. The game, titled Invincible: Guarding the Globe, will be a free-to-play idle RPG designed for iOS and Android devices. Although an official release date has not been announced, interested players can pre-register now to receive exclusive rewards.

Invincible: Guarding the Globe follows the storyline of a clone army invasion. Players will join forces with the Global Defense Agency, led by Cecil Stedman, to recruit renowned Invincible characters and engage in epic battles against the clones. With the option to personally control their squads and progress through the campaign or initiate idle battles that run in the background, players can enjoy a dynamic gaming experience.

Content will feature familiar gameplay elements to mobile game fans, such as character collection, leveling up, equipping items, and daily and weekly challenges. The game will offer various progression paths, currencies, and limitations, potentially involving microtransactions. Invincible: Guarding the Globe will include popular characters from the comic book and cartoon, including Invincible, Atom Eve, Omni-Man, and many others.
