In Cyberpunk 2077, players are faced with tough choices and somber situations as they guide their character, V, through a city plagued by their own mortality. The newly introduced Phantom Liberty DLC is no exception, as it sheds light on the troubles of Night City through a brand new district called Dogtown.
Dogtown is a corrupt and morally bankrupt black-market city, where its inhabitants suffer from a lack of support. One of the missions that V will encounter in Dogtown is called Dogtown Saints, which culminates in a bittersweet finale. The initial objective is to rescue Anthony Anderson, but V will quickly realize that the situation is far more intricate, forcing them to make a difficult decision. To assist players, here is a comprehensive guide on how to successfully complete the Dogtown Saints mission in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
Cyberpunk 2077: Dogtown Saints Guide
The Dogtown Saints gig in Phantom Liberty becomes available to players once they complete the Spider and the Fly opening missions. Mr. Hands, a contact of V's, will offer them the job and explain the situation. Anthony Anderson, who runs a health clinic, has been taken hostage in his office by a group known as the Scavengers.
To gather information and devise a plan to rescue Anthony, V needs to meet with Odell Blanco, Anthony's assistant. Odell has set up a temporary location outside the Haven clinic, making it convenient for players to locate him. Once players have spoken to Odell, they should inform him that a fixer has sent them in order to proceed with the gig.
Go Inside the Clinic
To proceed, the next step entails infiltrating the clinic premises in order to locate Anthony. Players are presented with two options for a stealthy entry; they can choose to enter through the front doors, however, it necessitates having a Body stat of 11 or higher to successfully force them open. If this approach is taken, accessing the computer's surveillance cameras becomes effortless, enabling the execution of quickhacks or remote scans.
Go to the Basement
An alternative choice available is to clandestinely infiltrate the premises through the side entrance located on the left side of the structure. Within this vicinity, a group of scavengers presides, which includes a sharpshooter positioned on the uppermost floor. By utilizing various objects in the environment, players can divert the attention of the guards and subsequently eliminate them individually, provided they exercise caution. Naturally, there is also the possibility to charge in and engage in a firefight.
Anthony's office is located in the basement of the clinic, posing the initial challenge of gaining access. Once inside, players are faced with the task of either stealthily evading the Scavengers scattered throughout the main floor or engaging in combat to overpower them all.
If combat is initiated, players should be wary of two Netrunners. These formidable adversaries possess the ability to trace and hack V's weapons, making it crucial to prioritize their elimination in order to evade neural combat.
The basement door is located on the right-hand side of the clinic, at the back. Exercise caution when making your way towards the office as there are a few guards patrolling the area downstairs. To reach Anthony's office, proceed through another door that connects to the hallway with the elevator. As players approach, they will hear shouting emanating from inside, and the objective will be updated once they are in close proximity.
Let Nika Live or Kill Her?
Upon opening the door, V is startled to find Nika pointing a gun at Anthony. Evidently, Nika's intent is to obtain details about her brother's visit to the clinic. However, Anthony appears unwilling to cooperate, nonchalantly reaching for a drink. In response, Nika ruthlessly fires a bullet into his hand.
From this point, V has two options:
Players have the option to continue conversing with Nika or to retrieve their weapon. Opting for the latter causes Nika to react aggressively, forcing them to eliminate her in order to safeguard Anthony's life. Once Nika has been neutralized, players can engage in a conversation with Anthony before exiting the building to successfully conclude the task.
If players continue conversing, Anthony discloses the unfortunate demise of Nika's brother. Adding to the gravity of the situation, he reveals his intention to preserve the deceased's body in order to extract his implants for another individual's benefit. Hearing this, Nika's anger intensifies, prompting her to angrily throw punches at Anthony.
Again, players have the option to interrupt the attack and engage in combat, or they can request Anthony to release her brother's body. Opting to interrogate him will lead Nika to discover her brother's lifeless form in the morgue, providing an opportunity for players to converse with Anthony. As they leave, players can visit the morgue where they will witness Nika in profound grief, prompting Johnny to make an appearance and share his thoughts on the situation.
Once players finish the gig, they are free to exit and proceed with their tasks. Shortly after, Mr. Hands will contact them and transfer the deserved monetary reward. It doesn't matter if players decide to eliminate Nika or spare her; as long as Anthony survives, the mission will be considered accomplished.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty can be enjoyed on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
