Sasha Mitchell

Mitchell, like his co-star Duffy, also appeared in Dallas as James Beaumont. Once Step by Step wrapped up, Mitchell went on to secure smaller roles in TV shows such as JAG, ER, and NYPD Blue. Mitchell was previously married to Jeanette Robbins for seven years, from 1990 to 1997. During this time, they had four children together. In 1996, Mitchell faced legal consequences after being found guilty of misdemeanor battery, spousal abuse, and child endangerment following a confrontation with Robbins. As a result, he received three years of probation, was required to perform community service, and attended counseling sessions for spousal abusers. Nonetheless, Mitchell violated his probation, leading to a 30-day jail sentence.

In 2002, Mitchell opened up about the incident during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, asserting that his actions were motivated by the desire to protect his children from his ex-wife. After struggling with his ups and downs with Robbins, Mitchell wed his second wife Rachel in 2010. However, the twosome divorced in 2015.
